Did you know that the PGI-1103 specification ensures the quality and performance of PVC geomembranes?
Specification PGI-1103, developed by the Fabricated Geomembrane Institute (FGI), sets the standards for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) geomembranes. These geomembranes are flexible sheets used in applications such as prefabricated tanks, decorative lakes, cisterns, reservoirs, water treatment plants, biodigesters and landfills.
PGI-1103 defines the physical and mechanical properties that PVC geomembranes must meet to ensure their performance and durability in these applications. Tensile testing of unreinforced geomembranes is performed according to ASTM D882, while tear strength is evaluated according to ASTM D1004.
